Arkane Lyon is developing the upcoming title Marvel’s Blade, a third person, single player, action-adventure set in the heart of Paris. The game is based on the comic book hero Blade and will feature an original story with the studio’s signature immersive gameplay and world-class narrative.

Responsibilities

  • Production of lighting for real-time video games environments
  • Production of lighting for real-time cinematics
  • Visual research through the creation of synthetic documentation
  • Integrate and merge gameplay, visual and technical intentions with elegance
  • Maintain a consistent lighting style that matches visual direction across multiple environments
  • Manage the content related to light entities: request, tracking, object integration, FXs, ...
  • Collaborate and communicate smoothly with Level Artists, Environment Artists, Level Designers, VFX, Technical Artists …
  • Ensure that all lighting deliverables are fully completed and in line with the production schedule
  • Anticipate challenges and propose solutions to solve technical and design constraints
  • Cultivate a positive workplace culture

Qualifications

  • Have already completed at least one full production
  • Lighting / color theories knowledges
  • Be familiar with other 3D software such as Blender and Unreal Engine
  • Good artistic culture: illustrations, paintings, photography, cinematography; excellent sense of composition; and interest for video games
  • Strive for excellence in order to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of quality
  • Team spirit: ability to cooperate easily with different people and teams; positive and altruistic attitude
