id Software, part of the ZeniMax Media Inc. family of companies, is seeking a Technical Designer to join our team. Tech Art/Design Artists have a massive impact on the overall game by developing practical solutions for gameplay components, cinematics, and proving out emerging tech and workflows. Tech Designers will become proficient in many disciplines with our proprietary tool set to offer solutions of implementation and integration, as well as solving incidental issues that naturally arise in production. Tech Designers will report to our Tech Art/Design Lead while working closely with environment, gameplay, cinematics, and design.
Responsibilities will touch all parts of our games, including gameplay scripting, measuring performance, defining best practices, and working with other departments to develop scripted events or feature improvements. The successful candidate has a keen eye for high quality results and is both self-motivated to discover creative solutions as well as capable of close collaboration with other team members.
What you’ll do as a Tech Designer:
Senior Sound Designer - The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $55,000 - $140,000 per year.
ZeniMax has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
