Arkane Lyon is developing the upcoming title Marvel’s Blade, a third person, single player, action-adventure set in the heart of Paris. The game is based on the comic book hero Blade and will feature an original story with the studio’s signature immersive gameplay and world-class narrative.

Responsibilities

As a environment artist, you will create captivating and immersive 3D game props and modular kit, where both visuals and design blend with an elegant homogeneity. You will be both an environment artist and responsible for the visual quality of the game at the same time. Within a given framework, you will have the artistic ability to push creative boundaries to deliver striking visual moments

  • Model and texture 3D assets like props and modular kits for use in the game engine based on concept art or inspirational reference materials
  • Align his deliverables through Art Direction using standards set by the game’s style in his modeling and textures
  • Collaborate daily with multiple disciplines, including level designers, level artists and art direction to discuss and understand both game intentions and vision

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in environment asset creation using contemporary, real-time rendering methods
  • Understanding of modern 3D modeling packages
  • Be autonomous, strong in terms of proposals and comfortable in seeking references
  • Solid team player with strong work ethic and cooperative attitude
  • Self-motivated and focused worker with good communication and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to undertake technical R&D related to game environments creation
  • Experience with Substance Suite and Blender
