Sr. Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (infrastructure) to join our corporate IT Enterprise Services (ES) Team. You will be a key subject matter expert and technical contributor for our Core Services team designing, building, and supporting complex, enterprise-class solutions to ZeniMax Media, AAA game studios and partners. Foundational infrastructure design and virtualization are a strong emphasis for this role.

• Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders of various skill levels.
• Respond to service, change, or event requests; escalating or assisting as required.
• Create, deliver, and maintain highly available environments for multiple game studios across geographically distinct locations supporting multiple teams/assets.
• Troubleshoot and act as escalation source for downstream support and development studio teams.
• Understand studio and game creation needs; evolve and shift focus as needed.
• Collaboratively work with other Enterprise Services teams and participate in on-call rotation.
• Active participation/contribution within a scrum or kanban agile service delivery team.

• 5+ years' experience delivering and maintaining large scale, highly available, critical infrastructure solutions in an Enterprise environment.
• Strong experience with Enterprise storage architecture. (NetApp ONTAP, StorageGRID, vSAN, Quantum, similar)
• Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and management principles. Recent VMware experience strongly preferred.
• Experience deploying and supporting physical server infrastructure (Supermicro, Dell, similar)
• Experience troubleshooting and providing resolution to difficult, unfamiliar issues.

• Experience with Enterprise service delivery and automation platform such as the VMware vRealize/Arai suite; Aria Automation, Aria Operations, SaltStack Datadog, Aria Log Insight, Workspace One, similar.
• Experience with Software Defined Networking.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
• Experience participating in Scrum and/or Kanban Agile ceremonies.
• Familiar with ITIL & Team Topologies product/service delivery methodologies.

Sr. Systems Engineer - The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $100,000 - $215,000 per year.

ZeniMax has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
